We meet monthly on the third Thursday of each month between 1pm and 2.45pm, at the Holy Trinity Parish Centre (downstairs).
Poetry appreciation involves recognising and appreciating in a positive way the skill that went into crafting it. There are no right answers when you respond to a poem, and very few wrong ones, and one person’s opinion is just as valid as another’s. We read and discuss the poems as a group (which is frequently easier than as an individual).
So if you would like to nourish your soul and give your brain a good work-out come along and join us.
Having spent the spring and summer this year sharing poems and opinions via email, we are now meeting physically, albeit not all at the same time due to the 'Rule of Six'. So far, it’s working well, though the ability to meet physically may well, of course, have changed when you read this.
The picture shows Annie Freud reading her poems to the group.
If you'd like to come along, it would be best to contact me beforehand. My contact details are in the Newsletter.
