We meet monthly on the third Thursday of each month between 1pm and 2.45pm, at the Holy Trinity Parish Centre (downstairs).
Our next meeting dates will be 18th October and 15th November.
Poetry appreciation involves recognising and appreciating in a positive way the skill that went into crafting it. There are no right answers when you respond to a poem, and very few wrong ones, and one person’s opinion is just as valid as another’s. We read and discuss the poems as a group (which is frequently easier than as an individual).
This year (2017/18) we’ll be looking at a diverse range of poems and poets, and learning more about the different forms poetry can take – from haikus to free verse, via sonnets.
So if you would like to nourish your soul and give your brain a good work-out come along and join us. However, the group is virtually full so, if you'd like to come along, it would be best to contact me beforehand. My contact details are in the Newsletter.
